How Ukrainians unite to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine: open assistance for defenders

Every country that goes through war has stories that demonstrate the true power of the human spirit. For Ukrainians, the full-scale invasion has been a great challenge, but at the same time it has united the nation. Every day, thousands of people — from volunteers to entrepreneurs, from ordinary citizens to charitable foundations — work to support those on the front line.

This unity is not just about help. It is about a common desire to preserve freedom, protect the future and support everyone who risks their lives for the sake of the country. In this fight, everyone’s contribution is important: from a small donor to large organizational initiatives.

Initiatives and the role of charitable organizations

At a time when the war has touched every Ukrainian, charitable organizations have become important bridges between those who need help and those who are willing to provide it. These organizations work not only as coordination centers, but also as platforms where the efforts of individuals are united into a powerful movement.

Gather Charitable Foundation is one such organization that has taken responsibility for meeting the needs of the military and civilians since the first days of the war. Instead of dispersing resources, we combine contributions from Ukrainians and international partners to create real impact.

What has been done?

• transportation for the military — delivery of more than 17 pickup trucks and off-road vehicles;
• drones for surveillance and protection — more than 24 units of high-tech equipment were purchased;
• medicines and first aid kits — 2,130 medical kits were delivered directly to the frontline.

Each delivered first aid kit or vehicle is the result of dozens of hours of work by volunteers, drivers, coordinators, and donors.

How we all support the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Helping the army has become everyone’s business. From schoolchildren weaving nets to large businesses allocating millions for military needs, support for our defenders has united Ukrainians of all ages, professions, and regions. This synergy of actions is impressive in its scope and depth.

Financial support

Financial support is one of the most convenient and effective forms of participation. The funds raised allow us to purchase vehicles, drones, first aid kits, and even food. In fact, thanks to your financial support, Gather has managed to deliver more than 24 drones and dozens of vehicles, which have greatly facilitated the work of our military.

Material assistance

For many people, supporting the army starts with ordinary things: collected warm blankets, food, or medicine. Material assistance is often the first step in volunteering.

Gather united Ukrainians in collecting the necessary things by sending:

1. 1730 food packages to the war zone.
2. Medicines needed at the front line.
3. Special equipment for military tasks, including antennas and night vision devices.

Volunteering and partnerships

People not only help financially or donate items, but also actively participate in the work of the foundations. They organize logistics, sort things, collect information, and sometimes travel to the war zone to deliver aid themselves.

Small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine actively support Gather by providing goods or services at cost or free of charge.
