Gather fundraising: how we attract financial support

The role of charitable foundations in bringing Ukraine’s victory closer is enormous, but they differ significantly in terms of their operating principles and other parameters. It is important for people and companies who want to provide financial or other assistance to IDPs, the military, hospitals, schools, etc. to understand who they are providing their resources to and why.

Gather is one of the top reliable charities that has been operating since the beginning of the war. Our partners are not only individuals, but also many entrepreneurs and organisations, which is proof of the integrity of our activities. Nevertheless, we have to constantly prove that our financial support is legitimate and that the strategies we propose really help people affected by the war. Can I trust my money to a charity?

Everyone, including foreigners who see the horrors of the war in Ukraine and want to help in any way they can, has a desire to donate money to a good cause. Financial support allows our team to meet the needs of different categories of people and organisations:
-residents of the occupied territories who need to be evacuated;
-IDPs forced to rebuild their lives away from their homes;
-people who have suffered physically and mentally from the actions of the aggressor country;
-Hospitals and schools that need to operate in extreme conditions and with increased security requirements;
-Military personnel defending the country and constantly in need of drones, pick-up trucks and other specialised equipment;
-wounded on the battlefield – we use various methods to raise funds for the treatment and rehabilitation of military and civilians with injuries of varying severity.

Unfortunately, since the beginning of the war, many dubious organisations have emerged that do not justify the trust of customers, but at the same time, there are many companies interested in participating in truly charitable activities. This raises reasonable doubts about the methods used by the charity, where the money is spent, etc.

The Gather Foundation aims to build trusting relationships, so participants do not have to worry about the misuse of resources. All contributions are recorded and reflected in reports. Various ways of obtaining financial support for the foundation’s work

Gather’s fundraising involves raising money from individuals and companies (both Ukrainian and foreign) and then using it for the purposes set out in the charter. You can read Gather’s documentation 24/7 on the official website, as well as see the programmes for which we raise funds.
Each fundraiser is assigned a coordinator who monitors the receipts, communicates with benefactors, and prepares reports detailing where the money was spent and how much.
